Exercising for Recovery

Brandon I. started services with Rehab Without Walls Outpatient clinic in Indiana over a year ago. Due to complications associated with complex medical history, including a spinal cord injury from a motor vehicle accident several years ago resulting in paraplegia, he wanted to find somewhere he could exercise safely but needed help doing so.

Since coming to Rehab Without Walls, Brandon states his overall physique, balance, and core strength has improved greatly since being able to workout at the therapy gym. The main goals he wanted to accomplish were to improve his balance, range of motion, to strengthen his body overall, but especially his core and arms.

Currently, Brandon is in the process of getting a new wheelchair with the help of Rehab Director Daniel Sego. Daniel helped him start the process, setting him up with a test chair at the clinic where they measured Brandon for a perfect fit, and he was even able to pick out the color he wanted! Next steps are an appointment for the cushion and back rest, then he will be receiving his custom fit wheelchair.

He takes the time and effort to personally make it about each patient. A lot of people don’t listen to the customers, but Daniel listens and goes above and beyond.”
